Human Rights

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: " O people! Your Allah(God) is one and your forefather (Adam) is one. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a white person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a white person, except in piety."

The soul and honour of all citizens are accepted to be sacred, whether a person is muslim or not. In Islam, insulting or degrading other humans is not allowed.

Quran declares the equality of human beings with the following verse "O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other (not that you may despise each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah(God) is the most righteous of you. And Allah(God) has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)." (Quran: 49/13)

It is the right of people to follow their own convictions. Quran declares there should be no compulsion in matters of faith : "Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from error." (Quran: 2/256)

When Islam came to the Arabian demi-island, slavery existed there. Islam always encouraged freeing slaves . Islam rejects certain people being favored because of their wealth or race. Allah(God) created human beings as equals. The only difference between human beings is their level of faith. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "O people! Your Allah(God) is one and your forefather (Adam) is one. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a white person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a white person, except in piety."

( pbuh = peace be upon him )
