Prophet Musa (Moses) sent to Egypt and faced the Pharaoh. Musa and Aaron arrived in the court of the Pharaoh and admonished the Pharaoh by informing him that his claim of godhood was false, for there is but one God who created both the pharaohs and their subjects. He controls all that is in this world and beyond. Musa warned the Pharaoh about God's punishment and told him that he had come with a clear sign and asked for the release of his people from their bondage in Egypt.

Pharaoh would not relent to the power of God. He defiantly refused to allow Israelites to leave Egypt. As a result, God decreed punishments over him and his people. After many disasters Pharaoh finally gave up his defiance. However, Pharaoh was angry and wanted to chase the Israelites after realizing that they have left during night time.

Upon seeing the Pharaoh and his army approaching the Israelites started to run but stopped at the seafront where they could not go any further. Here Musa used his staff to part the sea that allowed the Israelites to pass through, then the Pharaoh also followed but the sea closed on him drowning and killing Pharaoh and his entire army. "(Moses) said: 'By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me.' Then We told Moses by inspiration: 'Strike the sea with your rod.' So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain." (Quran 26:62/63). Sonar depth measurement systems showed an "under-water-bridge" at the crossing site.


Investigators dived under water and they discovered chariot wheels. "And We made the other party approach thither. We delivered Moses and all who were with him; But We drowned the others. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe." (Quran 26:64/67)


The British Museum houses a naturally preserved dead body that was discovered by the Red Sea. The body has hair and even toe and fingernails. The corpse has all its internal organs intact and its in prostrating position. "And We made the children of Israel to pass through the sea, then Pharaoh and his hosts followed them for oppression and tyranny; until when drowning overtook him, he said: I believe that there is no god but He in Whom the children of Israel believe and I am of those who submit.What! now! and indeed you disobeyed before and you were of the mischief-makers. But We will this day deliver you with your body that you may be a sign to those after you, and most surely the majority of the people are heedless to Our communications. " Quran (10:90-92)

Allah(God) says that the Pharaoh will be preserved as a warning for generations to come.
